Five years ago it seemed as though taking a younger lover was the new Hollywood pastime but the movement is rather more serious in sociological terms. Women used to marry younger and start families because there weren’t the career prospects that exist now and this was their shot at happiness and security. Today more women have financial independence and exciting careers and are holding off these responsibilities. The thing is it you do delay settling down until late 30s then it can be tricky finding a decent bloke your own age that is not eaten up with dysfunction and cynicism. This is where the young men can come into play. Forty is the new 30 anyway and so these women are still bags of fun and adventurous  and want to share that with another who has an exuberance for life and retains enough hope and innocence to really fall in love again.

I’ve never dated anyone younger than me but preferred men at least seven or eight years older than l am, the older they are the trickier they became. I once dated a charming and successful business man who was 20 years my senior. He was cultured, refined and magnetic but so cynical about love and woman that any meaningful romance wasn’t on the cards. Older men are expect game players and for a while the ‘unobtainableness’ of them is a turn on, until you realize they’re like this because they’re like this because they’re scared and as emotional being they shut down long time age. I never saw the attraction to younger guys but l’m starting to. Emotional intelligence is a must for me to be attracted to a man and whether or not it’s because of the metro sexual age but men from a younger generation are becoming more emotionally mature. Whilst retaining that puerile sense of fun. I’m a big kid most of the time but there’s nothing more asexual than a man who is scared of his own feelings It’s hard to find with someone in life and it doesn’t matter about age.

Women want that innocence of first love but a bit later on when they know themselves better and it’s often easier to find that with a man a few years your junior because they haven’t become emotional bricks. Its about having made it through heartache and the wrong relationship and becoming a better and stronger person for it

What ever age women are they want to fall in love and have it feel like the best love either of them has experienced. Well, it seems that older women are finding this integrity in a younger soul mate these days and why not?
