Desperately seeking a toy boy?
The age of the toy boy is no passing fad. On fact it’s becoming more popular and less of a taboo everyday. My mother’s friend’s 39-years-old daughter just married her boyfriend of four years; he’s just 27. My first love has just turned 34 and he’s currently in a relationship with a 40-years woman. I asked him recently why, when, as a surf instructor he’s constantly surrounded by young model-type surfer chicks he was attracted to this woman; he said she has a certain allure and quiet confidence that 20-something’s girls don’t possess.
Nowadays women want to have fun for longer and when they are ready to settle down in that late 30s most men of that age are either married or emotionally defunct and thus still single. Whatever the reason, it look like sugar daddies are on their way out, along with the notion that a 40-years-old woman is over the hill and undesirable. And anyway, older women are looking better than ever, Flicking through celebrity magazines l find it hard to say who is the most striking between 42-year-old Elle McPherson and any other 25-year-old celebrity. A lot of women’s new financial gain is spent on looking great. Maybe those expensive anti- ageing creams do work after all and, if not, the detox and Botox certainly are. There are now so many ways to fake the attributes of youth and these women are becoming incredibly adept at the practice of it.
A few years ago when the onset of the toy boy phenomenon occurred, most tabloids attributed the attraction on both sides to sex, It’s true that women reach their sexual peak in their early 30s whilst men do in their 20s but a long term loving relationship isn’t built on a good sex life alone. A British magazine survey recently found that two-thirds of women who had toy boys rated them better sexual partner than men of their age.
