Making dreams come true
In your search for success, seek out those people who know more than you do. I read of a man who, despite having a higher education went to work in a factory. When asked by the personnel department what he wants to do he’d replied `everything’. Al though baffled, the supervisor allowed him to work in every department of the factory, starting at the bottom and moving on to another department when he had thoroughly leant what was expected of him in each separate department. He made his way through the huge factory and ended up working in experimental design for a fantastic wage.
He later wrote that his secret to success was that whenever hr started in a new department he looked for the people who had been around forever. He would then ask them every question he could think of, they liked this and so showed him shortcuts they had developed that no one else had ever asked about. These sages became his mentors.
So whatever your goals plan to get to know people who know more about what it is that you want then you do. Then model your efforts on theirs adjusting and improving as you go
Pursue your vision with stubborn consistency
The biggest difference between people who succeed and those who don’t is not usually talent but persistence. Many brilliant people give up far too early in their quest. They don’t want to run the risk of getting knocked down again and again
But highly successful people do not quit. It has often been said that they are just individuals who got up one more time than they fell down. And is not what defines us how well we raise after we fall?
There are many films made and books written about people’s struggles to attain their dream. They have had a goal and they have stubbornly gone after it, despite all and any odds being against them.
These stories illustrate that there is no limit to where your dreams can take you
You need to make an emotional commitment to yourself. Without a deep commitment it is difficult to pursue a dream. Great success requires risk whether financial {remortgaging the house to make funds available to start a business}, or physical {deciding once and for all that it’s time to do something about being overweight}, for example you cannot always play it nice and safe, and stay in your
